Located in Carcavelos, next to the largest beach on the Estoril Coast, the Riviera Hotel invites you to a stay of excellence and friendliness, far beyond its four stars. Located in a quiet residential area, a stone's throw from the largest beach on the Estoril coast, with its terraces overlooking the sand and surfers who never give rest to the waves, the Riviera Hotel Carcavelos is served by a constant transport network, including train , buses and expressways. From here, you can easily access, explore and discover fantastic places in Lisbon, Cascais and Sintra.

At the “A Concha” Hotel Restaurant you can taste the gastronomic delights prepared daily by chef Luís Carvalho, with traditional Portuguese dishes and international cuisine, always with the freshest ingredients and the refinement of a complete meal. If the tourist activity scheduled for the day calls for something quicker, we are happy to serve a light meal or snack, without compromising on quality.

1. Hotel Standards

Hotel Riviera is a non-smoking hotel. Therefore, smoking is expressly prohibited inside the Hotel (Law nº 37/2007, of 14 August). Failure to comply with this rule is punishable by a fee of €750.

• All guests are asked to ensure that the doors are securely closed when leaving their rooms; The Hotel is not responsible for any theft or theft.
• It is prohibited to spread clothes and/or towels on the balconies. Maids are authorized to remove them.
• Within the Hotel's public facilities, the consumption of food and/or drinks, other than those provided by the establishment, is expressly prohibited.
• Room cleaning/tidying hours are between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, after this time only towels are changed upon request.
• We appreciate you respecting the Hotel's opening hours (Bar-Restaurant-Swimming Pool-Spa-Room Cleaning)
• It is prohibited to walk without a t-shirt, shirt, barefoot and/or wet in the pool in the interior public areas of the Hotel.
• Any damage to the Hotel's furniture, equipment or objects will be charged to the account of the person responsible for the same.
• In the interest of all customers, silence is requested in the corridors leading to the rooms from 10:00 pm.
• Guest visits/guests must be received in the public areas of the Hotel, and their stay in the rooms is prohibited without prior and due authorization, after personal identification formalities at the reception.

GENERAL RULES FOR OPERATION AND USE OF THE POOL AND SURROUNDING AREAS

A - ADMISSION RULES AND RESERVATION

1. The swimming pool and surrounding areas are for the exclusive use of Hotel guests and residents of the San Remo and Monte Carlo condominiums.
2. Exceptionally, and if pool occupancy permits, the Hotel may accept external users.
3. The right of admission is reserved, particularly for users who:
   1. They do not express any intention to use or consume the services;
   2. Refuse, without legitimate cause, to pay for services used or consumed;
   3. Do not present themselves or behave in a manner appropriate to the level and characteristics of the establishment;

1. Cause damage, provoke disturbances or acts of violence;
2. Disturb other users;
3. Be accompanied by animals or carry weapons, toxic, explosive, unhealthy and bad-smelling products with you.

1. Entry is prohibited to people who do not offer guarantees for the hygiene of the pool water, or who may endanger the health of other users.
2. Without prejudice to compliance with the rules regarding privacy, whenever deemed necessary for clearly apparent reasons, users may be required to provide a medical declaration proving their state of health or health.
3. The swimming pool and its surrounding areas are considered a complementary support space for the Hotel, with the entrance reserved for guests, and possibly external users, as long as they are properly identified and hold valid tickets.
4. External visitors must go to the bar to purchase and validate the usage permit, including the amount paid and the user's identification, namely their name, address and contact details. The prepaid Pass is personal and non-transferable. Hotel staff may request title verification at any time.
5. Access for condominium owners is subject to the occupancy rate of the pool area. The capacity is 120 seats and access, even with a temporary pass, may be restricted depending on the guests, who benefit from absolute priority.
6. Hotel guests will use the Key Card as a means of identification.
7. Access for users of the San Remo and Monte Carlo condominiums will be via the access gate of the aforementioned condominiums.
8. Children under 14 are not permitted to enter without being accompanied by an adult.
9. Only a maximum of 3 children (under 14 years old) per adult are allowed.
10. Supervision of children is the sole responsibility of the adult accompanying them.

B - USE RULES

For hygiene reasons, it is mandatory to use the shower before entering the pool and it is advisable to wear a hair cap.

1. The use of appropriate clothing is mandatory, namely a swimsuit or suitable piece of clothing.
2. Pool users must refrain from using creams, oils or any products that are likely to alter the quality of the water (e.g. makeup, gel and hair coloring).
3. The entry and consumption of food and drinks in the pool area is prohibited, with the exception of food and drinks for infants.
4. The consumption of food and drinks must come from the pool bar, and consumed exclusively in the table area in front of the bar.
5. The Hotel provides a limited number of umbrellas for every two sun loungers. This equipment cannot be reserved and/or blocked with personal property. There is priority access to this equipment for pregnant women, the elderly and people with reduced mobility.
6. The use of sound equipment without headphones or any other type of sound or image equipment that interferes with the comfort and well-being of other users, and of the Hotel in general, is expressly prohibited.
7. It is prohibited to use the pool space as a passage to the outside of the Hotel.

 

C - SAFETY RULES

 

1. The pool is not supervised, and it is the user's sole responsibility to respect the conditions necessary for the safe use of the space, both the pool and the other surrounding areas.
2. Not allowed:
   1. Diving or jumping into the water.
   2. Pushing people into water or purposely sinking them.
   3. Ball games (football, volleyball, handball, etc.), with the exception of games and recreational equipment provided and organized by Hotel Riviera.
   4. Run in the pool area.
   5. Enter the area with skylights and other areas that are fenced and/or have restricted access.
   6. The possession and use of glass or sharp objects in the pool.
   7. Any activities that put the safety of themselves and other users at risk.
3. Users are obliged to respect the signs present in the pool and surrounding areas, as well as respect any instructions from Hotel staff.
4. There are slippery areas in the pool and surrounding areas, so it is advisable to wear flip-flops or non-slip shoes throughout the pool area.
5. Children under the age of 14 are expressly prohibited from using the pool and/or surrounding areas without being accompanied and/or supervised by the responsible adult.
6. The entry and use of inflatable equipment in the pool (boats, mattresses, toys, etc.) is prohibited, with the exception of floating material for individual use, such as armbands and individual vests.
7. Any object that could put the safety of other users at risk will be immediately confiscated.
8. Hotel Riviera reserves the right to prohibit access, expel and/or cancel users' pre-paid passes for an indefinite period, on the grounds of disrespect for the law or the provisions of this regulation, and is not obliged to return the tickets. amounts paid for past or future use of space.

D - RESPONSIBILITIES REGIME

1. Hotel Riviera is not responsible for the supervision of children and/or adults, including people with mental and/or physical limitations.
2. Hotel Riviera is not responsible for any objects or valuables missing in and around the pool area.
3. Hotel Riviera is not responsible for any accidents, damages and/or other types of situations that may occur.
4. In order to be allowed to use the pool and surrounding areas, the user is expressly obliged to know and fully comply with these terms and conditions, and it is not permitted to invoke ignorance under any circumstances.
5. Entering the hotel without shoes, wet or inappropriate clothing is prohibited.

 

E - OPENING HOURS

1. In the months corresponding to the summer season, the following will be in operation:

The pool:

Every day of the week, weekends and holidays, opening at 09:00 and closing

at 7:30 pm.

The pool bar:

Every day of the week, weekends and holidays, opening at 10:00 am and closing

at 7:00 p.m.

G - FINAL PROVISIONS

1. The Hotel reserves the right to change the pool regulations whenever it sees fit, without

dependence on any prior notice period.

1. The Hotel reserves the right to close the pool and surrounding areas in cases of force majeure or for health reasons, whenever necessary, to ensure safety, hygiene and other obligations to safeguard public health.
2. The rules, prices and conditions of use of the pool bar are available at the establishment itself, in compliance with the law and without dependence on this regulation.
3. The Hotel is certified with the “ Clean & Safe ” seal from Turismo de Portugal, and takes all necessary measures to keep its customers and employees safe. For which we are grateful for compliance with the rules for everyone's safety and comfort.
4. These rules come into force on May 1, 2023.

Tourist Tax

The Tourist Tax in the Municipality of Cascais must be paid by customers directly at the Hotel.

The Tourist Tax is applied to all guests, regardless of nationality or residence, over the age of 13, per person and per night, up to a limit of 7 nights, per stay.

€2.00 per night per person up to a maximum value of €14.00 (7 consecutive nights per person and stay).
